Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical BIM Specialist - Electrical to join our dynamic team in Mumbai, India. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing comprehensive Building Information Models (BIM) for electrical systems on data center projects. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration, accuracy, and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise in electrical systems, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality BIM models that drive project success and operational excellence.

Develop, model, and maintain detailed BIM models for electrical systems in data center projects using industry-standard software and best practices, with meticulous attention to accuracy and completeness

Coordinate electrical BIM models with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) teams to identify and resolve clashes and conflicts efficiently, fostering collaborative problem-solving

Perform comprehensive clash detection analysis and generate detailed reports to ensure model integrity, constructability, and compliance with project requirements and Indian electrical standards

Create and manage electrical specifications, schedules, and technical documentation within the BIM environment, maintaining organized and accessible project records

Conduct quality assurance reviews of electrical models to verify accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project standards, protocols, and data center-specific requirements

Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to communicate design intent, resolve technical issues transparently, and support informed decision-making

Support project teams with BIM-related problem-solving, process optimization, and innovative solutions to enhance project delivery and operational efficiency

Participate actively in BIM coordination meetings and provide technical recommendations for design improvements, constructability enhancements, and sustainable practices

Document electrical systems specifications comprehensively and maintain clear, transparent communication channels with all project stakeholders

Support the development and implementation of BIM best practices and standards within the organization, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

**Required:**

3-5 years of professional experience in BIM modeling, electrical design, or related technical roles within the AEC industry

Advanced proficiency with Revit (or equivalent BIM software) for electrical systems modeling and documentation

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, data center infrastructure, and critical facility requirements

Demonstrated experience with MEP coordination workflows and clash detection methodologies

Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design and documentation tools

Strong understanding of electrical codes and standards (NEC, IEC, or equivalent Indian electrical standards)

Experience with BIM coordination platforms and project management tools

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and quality assurance mindset

**Preferred:**

Experience on data center, critical infrastructure, or large-scale commercial projects

Knowledge of energy management systems and sustainable design practices

Familiarity with BIM standards, protocols, and industry best practices

Revit certification or BIM-related professional certification

Experience with model documentation, specifications management, and technical report generation

Proficiency with additional BIM coordination and project management software platforms

Experience working on projects in India or familiarity with local regulatory requirements and construction practices

Additional Information

Analyze complex electrical systems and infrastructure requirements specific to data center operations, including power distribution, redundancy considerations, and critical facility needs

Maintain organized model libraries, templates, and standards to ensure consistency and efficiency across all projects, supporting team productivity and innovation
