Job Description
As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed CPR Patrol in Sparks, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, manage access control, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while using technology to document activity and support security-related operations. What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors at a technology data center by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of data center buildings, entrances, parking areas, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and verify credentials in accordance with site procedures; assist with visitor and contractor access processes as assigned.
Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
CPR certification is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
