About This Role
Do you like 3D design and media production? Join AWS Data Center Learning as a
Media Developer and create immersive 3D scenes, training videos, and data center
tours that power the world's largest cloud infrastructure workforce.
Key job responsibilities
- Partner with Instructional Designers, subject matter experts (SMEs), and
Program Managers to translate learning designs into polished, production-ready
media assets including illustrations, videos, 2D and 3D animations.
- Design and produce high-quality multimedia content including motion graphics,
explainer videos, interactive e-learning modules, infographics, illustrations,
and 3D simulations.
- Operate the full media production pipeline: storyboarding, asset creation,
video shooting and editing, audio production, animation, and final delivery in
formats optimized for web and LMS platforms.
- Apply strong visual design principles (typography, color theory, layout,
accessibility) to create engaging learning experiences for a diverse, global
audience.
- Develop 3D models and interactive simulation experiences using authoring
tools, game engines, and front-end technologies.
- Manage a personal production queue of multiple concurrent projects, tracking
progress against sprint commitments and delivering assets on time and within
scope.
- Apply AI-assisted creative tools and workflows (e.g. generative imagery,
automated captioning, AI video editing) to accelerate production timelines and
enhance output quality.
- Maintain and evolve the team's media asset library, templates, and style
guides to ensure visual consistency across the learning portfolio.
A day in the life
Once you've triaged urgent messages and emails, you plan your day: build your
to-do list, block focus time, and dive into your sprint deliverables. That might
mean editing a training video, animating a process diagram, or designing a 3D
model of a data hall. You balance focused production work with check-ins: a
storyboard review with an Instructional Designer, a feedback session on a
virtual data center tour, or a stand-up with the team. In the gaps, you might
explore a new tool, prototype a motion graphics style, or refine the team's
visual templates.
