AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation
of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the
cloud running.
We are looking for experienced Data Centre Technicians to join our team as a
senior resolver. You will become the escalation point for your support team and
be able to troubleshoot and solve complex infrastructure issues. You will help
create and maintain documentation on the technologies you support and be the
primary escalation point for junior staff.
Data Center Operations designs, installs & maintains the world’s largest
Computing Infrastructure. This role is a unique opportunity to work in some of
the most cutting-edge data centers in the world. Amazon data centers are
large-scale high-density centers where you will be working on changing the face
of cloud technology in the region.

Key job responsibilities
• Serve as a senior technical escalation point for the operations team
• Maintain a high level of system (Server/Network) reliability by prioritising
and resolving trouble tickets efficiently
• Share knowledge and help educate less technical staff on best practices
• Install and configure racks of hosts in line with internal SLAs
• Triage and resolve trouble tickets for all devices in your region
• Be the Data Centre point of contact for all High Severity issues
• Participate in and deliver on high-impact small to mid-scale projects
• Help define metrics to increase customer uptime
• Contribute towards building a great team by getting involved in the Amazon
hiring process/candidate interviews
• Deep dive into server issues and perform remediation of physical layer outages
(Systems & Network)
A day in the life
• This role involves bending, lifting (up to 20kg), stretching, and reaching,
ascending and descending ladders safely
• 24/7 shift coverage is required and includes 12-hour rotating shifts
• Due to the location of our sites, candidates should possess a valid driver’s
licence and their own vehicle

of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience
- 2+ years of computer networking experience
- High school or equivalent diploma
- Experience working with Linux operating systems
- Valid and active driver's license
- Ability to cover 24/7 shift rotation Preferred Qualifications: - Experience
with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies
- Experience with TCP/ICP networking fundamentals and application of IP
protocols such as: DNS, DHCP, NTP, SMTP, and SNMP
- Experience with a ticket-driven workload
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related
field
- Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear,
cable management, hot/cold aisle containment)
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior team members
