About This Role
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking to hire a highly motivated,
customer-obsessed individual to provide hands-on support to our Data Center
Infrastructure Operations (Data Center Security Specialist)
The successful candidate will support the Data Center Physical Security Team
with the implementation of AWS’s security policies and procedures at AWS Data
Center(s). You will also be responsible for coordinating physical security
operations, testing and conducting audit reviews of the Physical Security
Program, provide support to the Contract Guard Force, contractors and all
stakeholders within the Data Center. You will possess a willingness to learn new
skills and build relationships with internal and external partners to maintain
and enhance the safety and security standards of our Data Center operations. We

will be provided. You may enroll on Oncall rotation as well. Vehicle and
driver's license are required to travel to other data centers

You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest

- Daily Security Operations & Vendor Management – Coordinate day-to-day security
activities per SOPs, oversee vendor deliverables (CGF, SLAs, cameras, alarms),
track service delivery, and escalate deviations to senior team members when
- Site Assessments & Compliance – Conduct checklist-based walkthroughs, surveys,
and inspections to identify vulnerabilities and ensure the site's security
posture meets established standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication – Participate in regular
meetings with vendors, data center operations, and partner teams; communicate
security policies professionally and contribute to operational consistency.
- Security Systems Troubleshooting & Maintenance – Troubleshoot security devices
with the local Security System Integrator, test technical resources (cameras,
access control), identify repair needs, and coordinate preventative maintenance
- Operational Escalations & Ticket Management – Handle routine security program
escalations according to SOPs; review, evaluate, and triage assigned tickets in
- Workspace Upkeep & Professional Development – Maintain safety, cleanliness,
and organization of work areas and equipment; actively participate in internal
training and seek knowledge from peers and team-provided content.

Basic Qualifications: - 1+ years of security operations oversight experience
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- High school or equivalent, or experience working in a colocation data center
facility Preferred Qualifications: - Experience managing time efficiently,
meeting personal goals, and working effectively with internal, partner, and
- Experience with written and verbal communication and presentation
- Experience in problem solving and delivering results
- Good understanding of security fundamentals (risk assessment, access control
systems, CCTV, intrusion detection systems)
