In this role, you will design and develop learning experiences that directly
support the growth and success of Amazon's global data center workforce. You
will work backwards from the needs of our learners from Day 1 onboarding through
career development to deliver thoughtful, effective, and engaging training
solutions. This is a full-time (five day) office position.
Key job responsibilities
Partner with Instructional Designers, subject matter experts (SMEs), and Program
Managers to translate learning designs into polished, production-ready media
assets across multiple formats.
Design and produce high-quality multimedia content including motion graphics,
explainer videos, interactive e-learning modules, infographics, illustrations,
and animated simulations.
Operate the full media production pipeline: storyboarding, asset creation, video
shooting and editing, audio production, animation, and final delivery in formats
optimized for web and LMS platforms.
Apply strong visual design principles (typography, colour theory, layout,
accessibility) to create engaging learning experiences for a diverse, global
audience.
Develop interactive web-based learning experiences using authoring tools (e.g.
Articulate Storyline/Rise, Adobe Captivate) and front-end technologies (HTML,
CSS, JavaScript) where needed.
Collaborate with the Full Time Training (FTT) team, Learning Advocate community,
and Checklist Validators to ensure media assets are technically accurate and
aligned with learning objectives.
Use learner analytics, feedback, and A/B testing to refine media approaches and
continuously raise production quality.
Manage a personal production queue of multiple concurrent projects, tracking
progress against sprint commitments and delivering assets on time and within
scope.
Apply AI-assisted creative tools and workflows (e.g. generative imagery,
automated captioning, AI video editing) to accelerate production timelines and
enhance output quality.
Maintain and evolve the team's media asset library, templates, and style guides
to ensure visual consistency across the learning portfolio.
A day in the life
Your day starts by catching up on emails, Slacks, and tickets that came in
overnight. Once you've triaged anything urgent, you plan your day: build your
to-do list, block focus time, and dive into your sprint deliverables. That might
mean editing a training video, animating a process diagram, building an
interactive module, or designing graphics for an upcoming course launch. You
balance focused production work with check-ins: a storyboard review with an
Instructional Designer, a feedback session on a rough cut, or a stand-up with
the team. In the gaps, you might explore a new tool, prototype a motion graphics
style, or refine the team's visual templates. The rhythm is creative, varied,
and fast-paced.
