DESCRIPTION

The Data Center Operations (DCO) group is looking for a Data Center Engineer

based in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will be responsible for deploying

and maintaining servers and supporting fixtures and infrastructure in our remote

locations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with DC operational tasks, including rack sizing, equipment

installation and decommissioning. Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, push,

pull, reach and lift as required on a continuous basis with items that can weigh

up to 34 kg. Hands-on experience with various copper and fiber cabling

structures. Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, in

both Chinese and English. Ability to travel to mainland China and other APAC

countries.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate needs to possess a Bachelor degree in IT related disciplines. 5+

years’ experience or related experience in a data center environment. Strong

communicator at all levels with excellent oral and written skills to a variety

of audiences. Prior experience in DC operations, supply chain, and DC

construction. Experience with DCIM tools. Possess a global perspective with the

ability to understand and work effectively in a culturally diverse organisation.

Ability to manage key stakeholder interests while at the same time managing

conflicting priorities and business interests. Certification in data Center

operations or data center related certification. e.g. CDOM, CDFOM, CDCE, CDCS

preferred.
