About This Role

Astro Pak is the nation's leading precision cleaning and passivation contractor specializing in on-site cleaning of high purity gas and fluid systems, as well as precision cleaning of components and hardware at the company’s Cleanroom facilities. Astro Pak provides services to over 15 sectors including: Data Centers, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Aerospace, Semiconductor, and other selected Industrial markets. The company, founded in 1959, has performed on-site precision chemical cleaning in every State of the Union as well as several projects in Asia, Canada, continental Europe, England, Ireland and Mexico.

Astro Pak is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the people, projects, and financial performance of our Data Center operation. You’ll coordinate multiple customer projects, make sure teams have the equipment and materials they need, and help Project Leaders deliver work safely, on schedule, and to our quality standards.

This role calls for someone who can balance daily decisions with longer-term planning, develop field leaders, and build strong relationships with customers and partners across Astro Pak.

What you’ll do

Lead the business and its projects

Manage the location’s profit and loss, staffing plans, project schedules, equipment, inventory, and job costs.

Coordinate personnel, materials, chemicals, travel, and equipment so projects are ready to execute.

Review upcoming work help develop project plans and estimates, and provide technical input for proposals and job walks.

Monitor project progress, address resource or schedule changes, and coordinate change orders with Sales and Project Leaders.

Review project documentation and certification packages and maintain accurate job records for invoicing.

Build strong customer relationships and partner with teams across Astro Pak to deliver excellent service.

Develop and support your team

Partner with the People & Culture team to hire, retain, and develop qualified employees.

Set clear expectations and provide ongoing coaching, feedback, performance reviews, and training.

Support employee growth and advancement while addressing performance concerns promptly and fairly.

Foster a collaborative culture focused on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Own safety, quality, and facility readiness

Oversee facility and equipment maintenance, chemical inventory, environmental permits, and other compliance requirements.

Support inspections by applicable regulatory and emergency response agencies.

Escalate safety incidents, quality concerns, and operational issues promptly, and lead effective corrective action.

What you’ll bring

5–7 years of relevant experience in operations, field services, or project execution, including experience leading jobs or teams. Comparable experience within Astro Pak Field Services is also valued.

Demonstrated ability to plan work, manage competing priorities, and lead in a dynamic environment.

Experience supervising, coaching, and developing employees.

Sound financial judgment and the ability to understand estimates, costs, and operational performance.

Mechanical aptitude and analytical skills to help solve technical and equipment problems.

Strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

A bachelor’s degree is preferred. Familiarity with pharmaceutical or aerospace work, as well as HAZWOPER or bio/pharma certifications, is a plus.
