Job purpose
Help shape efficient and sustainable Data Center environments by optimizing space, power, and cooling resources. You contribute to capacity planning, infrastructure evolution, governance, and operational excellence while supporting future-ready hosting capabilities.
Main missions
Your responsibilities include:
Optimize Data Center capacity by planning and improving the use of space, power, cooling, cabling, and infrastructure layouts to support current and future needs.
Design and validate rack layouts and equipment placements while ensuring compliance with urbanization rules, governance standards, and architectural principles.
Monitor capacity, density, thermal constraints, and space availability to support efficient and sustainable hosting operations.
Provide L3 expertise to support installations, relocations, decommissions, maintenance activities, and incident resolution related to Data Center urbanization.
Assess large-scale deployments and major physical changes by evaluating feasibility, capacity impact, risks, and required adjustments.
Deliver recommendations, quotations, and impact estimates to support informed decisions on infrastructure evolution and capacity expansion.
Administer and support SUNBIRD and other DCIM tools, ensuring accurate infrastructure data, capacity modelling, reporting, and forecasting.
Contribute to sustainability initiatives, reporting activities, and tooling improvements that enhance operational efficiency and data quality
Expected skills & experience
We are looking for someone with the following experience and skills:
Experience
Experience in Data Center layout, design, space optimization, and capacity planning.
Experience in IT asset management and Data Center operational activities, including infrastructure changes and physical environment management
Technical skills
Knowledge of Data Center cooling and power management.
Ability to plan future expansion and scalability of Data Center environments.
Proficiency in cable management and equipment/space optimization.
Skills in updating configuration and infrastructure documentation.
Knowledge of general Data Center processes and DCIM tooling, including SUNBIRD.
Soft skills / transversal skills
Ability to coordinate several teams.
Ability to collaborate effectively with Operations, Product teams, project managers, and other stakeholders.
Ability to assess feasibility, capacity impacts, and risks related to infrastructure changes.
Ability to apply and maintain governance standards and architectural consistency.
Ability to provide expert guidance and operational support on urbanization-related topics.
