MEP Engineer – Data Center Project

About the Role ByteBridge is looking for an experienced MEP Engineer to support our data center project in Cikarang, Indonesia. This is a 1-year PKWT position based primarily at the project site. The MEP Engineer will be responsible for coordinating and supervising Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) works, ensuring that site activities are completed safely, according to approved drawings and technical specifications, and in line with the project schedule and quality requirements. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and supervise daily MEP installation and construction activities at the project site. Review MEP drawings, specifications, method statements and other technical documentation. Coordinate with Project Managers, consultants, contractors, subcontractors and vendors on MEP-related matters. Monitor site progress and ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and project requirements. Identify MEP clashes, installation issues and technical discrepancies, and coordinate timely resolution. Conduct regular site inspections and monitor workmanship, materials and installation quality. Support and coordinate data center MEP systems, including: Electrical power distribution, LV/MV systems, UPS and generators Cooling and HVAC systems Plumbing and drainage systems Fire protection and fire alarm systems Building management and monitoring systems, where applicable Monitor contractors' progress against the project schedule and highlight potential delays or risks. Ensure MEP works comply with applicable Indonesian regulations, project specifications, EHS requirements and client standards. Participate in site meetings, technical coordination meetings and project progress reviews. Support MEP testing and commissioning activities. Assist with inspections, punch-list / snagging activities and closure of outstanding items. Review as-built drawings, testing records, commissioning documentation and handover documents. Prepare regular site progress updates and escalate critical technical or project issues to the Project Manager. Requirements Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline. Minimum 3–5 years of relevant MEP engineering experience. Experience in data centers, mission-critical facilities, industrial facilities or large-scale construction projects is preferred. Data center project experience will be a strong advantage. Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, installation practices, testing and commissioning. Able to read and interpret MEP drawings, schematics, technical specifications and construction documents. Familiarity with AutoCAD and other relevant engineering software is an advantage. Strong site coordination and problem-solving skills. Able to work effectively with contractors, consultants, vendors and internal project teams. Good communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; working proficiency in English is preferred. Willing to work full-time on-site in Cikarang, West Java.
