Program Manager, Data Center Investments and Development

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

* 5 years of experience in program or project management.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Experience in technology, infrastructure development, real estate investment,

or management consulting environments.

* Experience designing and running organizational rhythms, including OKR/KPI

setting, Annual Operating Plans (AOP), Long-Range Capacity Plans, and

Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).

* Experience eliminating multi-stakeholder approval bottlenecks, and establish

standard operating procedures (SOPs).

* Analytical background in maintaining clean, auditable agreement databases

(e.g., Salesforce, custom pipeline trackers, GIS databases) to empower

leadership with actionable business intelligence.

* Familiarity with commercial real estate agreement structures, land

acquisition due diligence, colocation/wholesale leasing, zoning,

environmental reviews, and utility interconnection timelines.

* Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving environments, unblocking urgent

deadlocks.

ABOUT THE JOB:

The Development Pipeline and Business Operation (DPBO) team supports land

acquisitions and data center leasing through data integrity oversight,

development of standard operating procedures, policies and best practices, and

deployment of AI tools aimed at streamlining the agreement flow. Members of the

team contribute at each milestone, from site selection/intake/origination,

through approvals, on to asset management. As markets shift, and business needs

evolve, DPBO is at the frontline, adjusting course so the greater Data Center

Investments and Development (DCID) team can respond.

DPBO also serves as the connective tissue between DCID and cross-functional

teams, coordinating collaboration and translating priorities. This gives DPBO a

birds-eye view of the entire data center life-cycle, allowing team members to

develop high-leverage expertise across acquisitions, contracting, technology and

business operations.

As the Operations and Strategic Program Manager for the DCID Public Affairs

Manager team, you will serve as the backbone and strategic team multiplier to

ensure Google's license to operate. Navigating the critical intersection of

programmatic management, strategy, communications, and business operations, you

will assist the organization’s business cadence, including program management

and delivery, contract management, OKRs, quarterly business reviews, yearly

budgeting, and executive communications. You will partner closely with

leadership and organizational stakeholders to establish standard operating

procedures, govern data integrity, and design frictionless approval workflows.

Additionally, you will represent DCID across technical, financial, and real

estate teams, as you ensure seamless cross-functional alignment, elevate

data-driven decision-making, foster continuous organizational learning across

the data center delivery lifecycle and ensure strategic priorities are

translated into scalable operational frameworks.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills,

experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $159000 - $230000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Provide operational and programmatic support for public affairs managers,

tasked with leading local engagement around data center investments and

development, including, but not limited to: contract management, drafting of

program charters, budget tracking and financial compliance, and pipeline

reporting.

* Serve as an articulate, credible ambassador representing Google in select

public forums, civic engagements, and community stakeholder panels.

* Work with leadership to craft internal, organization-wide communications,

bridge communication gaps between functional silos (e.g., Engineer, Finance,

Legal, BizOps), manage leadership communications, and plan organization-wide

meetings and learning opportunities.

* Compile, organize and present programmatic metrics to leadership, and serve

as point person for organization-wide directives, such as OKRs, yearly

budgets and quarterly business reviews.

* Serve as the connective tissue between DCID/PAMs and cross-functional teams,

coordinating collaboration and translating priorities.
