Senior Datacenter Engineer

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Controls

Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of

progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a

Datacenter Engineering-related occupation.

* Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering,

Mechanical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a

related field, and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a

Datacenter Engineering-related occupation.

* Position requires 3 years of experience in the following: Implementation of

controls engineering, including control system programming; Building

Management System (BMS) or Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS)

operation; Process improvement for critical infrastructure projects; Data

center architecture and system design; and Application of engineering tools

and analytical methods to verify system design requirements.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $144,000 - $209,000 +

15% bonus target + equity + benefits determined by role, level, and location.

Individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related

Position reports to the Google Midlothian, TX office & may allow for a hybrid

schedule as per Google policy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Define system-level architecture and product strategy for next-generation

data centers.

* Conduct engineering analysis and research innovative designs for data center

equipment and facilities.

* Develop and document standard operating and maintenance procedures for

critical systems.

* Implement process improvements across critical infrastructure projects to

boost operational efficiency.

* Validate that all designs and installations meet specified cooling,

structural, and performance requirements. Apply controls engineering

principles to design and implement automated mission-critical systems.
