deployment.
* Experience working at a cloud hyperscaler.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
* Experience scoping, phasing, and leading cross-organizational infrastructure
programs, analyzing CAD/BIM floorplans, and managing space, power, and
cooling constraints in mission-critical environments.
* Experience structuring ambiguous, long-horizon engineering programs into
clear milestones and repeatable, scalable workflows that enable junior team

ABOUT THE JOB:
A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers
build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the
street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use
your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start
to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks,
manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners
across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses
and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs
in product development with engineers.
The Capacity and Constraints Management organization is the physical-to-logical
translation engine for Google's planet-scale compute, storage, networking, and
AI/ML infrastructure. Being at the intersection of hardware architecture, data
center facility engineering, network fabric planning, and construction
execution, we design and govern the server hall layouts that power Google
Search, YouTube, Google Cloud, and Gemini.
In this role, you will own process definition, feasibility assessments, and
rapid response to challenges involving the physical layout engineering and
technical program execution of Google's data centers from initial design kickoff
through construction completion and final installation readiness. You will apply
AI-driven automation to complex spatial planning workflows, and translate power
distribution, liquid/air cooling, structural loading, and optical networking
topologies into high-density server hall rack layouts and digital spatial
models, enabling gigawatts of next-generation AI/ML and cloud capacity to land
on schedule with first-time-right engineering quality.
Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the
Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and
maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google
platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. We're proud to be our
engineers' engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we
can rebuild them. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have
the best and fastest experience possible.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills,
experience, and relevant education or training.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Lead cross-organizational physical server hall layout programs for data
center builds from initial feasibility through construction and installation
readiness.
* Direct cross-functional engineering reviews across Mechanical, Electrical,
and Plumbing (MEP), structural loading, power distribution, liquid cooling,
and fiber conveyance to resolve spatial trade-offs and de-risk dependencies
before deployment.
* Drive organizational change management and technical pivots for in-flight ML
design updates and retrofits by authoring layout packages and standardizing
repeatable workflows for junior team members.
* Align executive stakeholders across Capacity Planning, Network Deployment,
Facility Engineering, and Supply Chain on multi-year roadmaps, cluster
sequencing, and escalation resolution.
* Establish program governance frameworks and leverage AI/ML technologies to
automate spatial planning, risk tracking, and layout validation workflows
across regional teams.
