Job Summary
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and
delivering
electrical designs for large-scale data centers, from early design through
construction
support. You will focus on power distribution, backup power, grounding, and
system
reliability, contributing to projects that demand the highest standards of
safety and
uptime. While this role is not the overall project lead, you will take ownership
of
assigned deliverables, provide technical input during multidisciplinary
coordination, and
support junior staff when needed.
Your background in power system design, substations, and
industrial/utility-scale
projects will be valuable as you contribute to mission-critical facilities for
some of the
largest technology clients in the world.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop electrical system designs including MV/LV distribution, UPS, standby
generators, grounding, lighting, and monitoring systems.
Perform load flow, short circuit, and arc flash studies using SKM, ETAP, or
EasyPower.
Review drawings, calculations, and vendor documentation for accuracy and
compliance.
Support BIM/VDC teams in the modeling and coordination of electrical systems.
Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and client-specific standards.
Assist with QA/QC reviews and internal design checks.
Provide construction-phase support including responding to RFIs, reviewing
submittals, and supporting field activities.
Participate in design coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and
internal
teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
10+ years of electrical engineering experience, with strong background in
utility,
industrial, or mission-critical facilities (data centers, BESS, substations,
power
plants).
Hands-on expertise in MV/LV power distribution, emergency/backup power,
protective relaying, and redundancy strategies
Proficiency with SKM, ETAP, or similar tools for system analysis; AutoCAD and
Revit familiarity preferred.
Strong knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and utility interconnection requirements.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required (multi-state licensure a plus).
Strong communication and organizational skills; able to work effectively in
collaborative and remote environments.
Authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications
Education
Required
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited
institution.
PE license required; additional certifications (LEED AP, PMP, etc.) are a
plus.
