Principal Engineer, Data Center PSU System Application
Your Role
This is a new and exciting opportunity as global System ApplicationEngineer (SAE G) in Consumer, Computing and Communication (C3) segment. The focus is on ACDC and high-voltage DCDC conversion architectures for AI server power & enterprise server systems, and to support G2M success through structured technical insights and scalable deployment.
Key responsibilities in your new role
Provide structured technical input to G2M strategies for AI & Enterprise server applications and support cross-regional alignment
Develop and deliver application-level technical collaterals for AI & Enterprise server PSU, ACDC, and HV DCDC architectures
Support design-in / design-win activities with system-level proposals and customer engagement via regional teams
Understand AI & enterprise server system architectures including power density, efficiency, and thermal constraints
Understand customers’ system partitioning and approaches from AC front-end to DC bus in server system
Organize and support global 3rd-level technical support and escalation handling
Collaborate with divisional and regional teams on solution development and deployment
Contribute to internal system-level training initiatives and knowledge sharing for AI & enterprise infrastructure
Consolidate structured feedback on emerging AI and Enterprise server power trends and requirements to SMD / Divisions
Support innovation projects related to next-generation data center power architectures
Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; advanced degree is a plus
Minimum 10 years of experience in semiconductor and/or power electronics industry
Strong understanding of power conversion topologies and system-level architecture design (AC/DC, DC/DC)
Proven experience in system-level applications, including hardware and/or software integration
Experience in relevant areas e.g. AI server power supply, telecom rectifier development is preferred
Solid knowledge of magnetics design (transformers, inductors),EMC/EMI considerations, and converter design
Experience with system-level modelling, simulation, and concept validation methodologies
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate system requirements into technical solutions
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment across divisions, regions, and sales
Self-driven, structured, and able to operate under ambiguity in a fast-evolving environment
Willingness to travel internationally (up to ~30–40%)
