Ko tā mātou mahi - About the role

We’re looking for an Infrastructure & Colocation Engineer to help us make smarter use of Kordia’s infrastructure, turning customer requirements into technically sound, commercially viable colocation solutions. 

You’ll lead colocation feasibility, bringing together technical, operational and commercial expertise to understand site capability and determine what’s possible. You’ll bring together validated assessments of space, power, cooling, structural capacity, RF, access and connectivity, then translate that insight into practical recommendations.  

Your work will directly support customer delivery, improve infrastructure utilisation and identify where investment can unlock future capacity and revenue. 

Ko tō mahi – What you will do

Reporting to the Head of Asset Management, you’ll coordinate colocation feasibility across Kordia, working closely with engineering, asset, operational and commercial teams. 

You’ll be responsible for: 

* Leading colocation feasibility assessments and progressing opportunities through to delivery handover

* Coordinating the assessment of site capacity, constraints, risks and dependencies 

* Turning technical and commercial inputs into clear recommendations and scopes

* Providing capacity and demand insights to support asset planning and investment decisions

* Coordinating specialist engineering reviews, technical assurance and approvals

* Maintaining accurate colocation allocation, reserved-capacity and pipeline information

* Improving feasibility processes, tools and reporting to make customer delivery more efficient

* Undertaking site visits and coordinating inspections where required.

Nā tōu rourou - What you will bring 

You’ll bring strong infrastructure knowledge, commercial awareness and the ability to bring people and technical information together to get decisions made, as well as:  

* Relevant experience in telecommunications, broadcasting, critical infrastructure, colocation, engineering coordination or asset management

* Experience completing infrastructure or colocation feasibility assessments

* Practical understanding of infrastructure capacity and constraints, including space, power, cooling, structural capacity, RF, access and connectivity

* Confidence interpreting drawings, technical assessments, equipment schedules and field information

* Understanding of engineering governance, technical assurance and approvals

* Strong analytical, stakeholder management and communication skills

* Commercial awareness across technical scoping, cost drivers, quoting and business cases

* Experience with relevant CRM, GIS, CAD, tower-modelling or digital-twin tools. D365 and OpenTower experience would be valuable

* A current New Zealand driver licence and willingness to travel to Kordia sites as required.
