We are seeking a Job Title to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit. As part of (SES) Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets.
Responsibilities
As a Data Center Security System Administrator - Lenel & Genetec Specialist, you will be a key member in the delivery of electronic security installation projects. The client uses Lenel for access control and Genetec for video management. You should be able to develop system configuration documentation submittals that define how the system will be configured. You should be able to install and configure an enterprise system from the ground up. We are looking for candidates with experience in one or both systems.
Job Site Location: Burlington, Texas
*Position is located at the construction project site.There will be some work at our office in Round Rock, TX or at our HQ in Tysons, VA. Work in VA will require candidates to travel. Depending on where the candidates lives, they will either commute to the jobsite in Burlington or stay at a nearby hotel.
Essential Responsibilities and Activities Include but are Not Limited to:
Installation
Configure and support security systems, including Database(s), Application Software, Operating Systems, Features, Functionality, Reports, Badges, Biometrics, cameras and other functions.
Configure systems, manage load sheets, perform programming, and maintain system configurations supporting operational and project requirements.
Program and configure new security devices, system expansions, upgrades, and Day 2 operational enhancements across enterprise environments.
Commissioning
Support testing and commissioning activities, including pre-test validation, T&C reporting, punch list management, and system acceptance.
Work with field technicians to troubleshoot, document and commission new/existing security equipment.
Operations & Support
Train system users and other system support personnel as needed.
Perform all duties with minimal direct supervision.
Monitor system health, optimize system availability, and proactively identify and resolve issues impacting physical security infrastructure performance.
Perform advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, system backups, firmware updates, log reviews, and preventative maintenance activities.
Manage and prioritize service requests and break-fix incidents, ensuring timely resolution, documentation, and operational visibility.
Project Management
Manage security projects from concept to design, implementation and close out.
Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, installers, and site stakeholders to support maintenance activities, service requests, and site access requirements.
Maintain accurate system documentation, service metrics, trackers, and reporting for ongoing maintenance activities and special projects.
Partner with security technology teams to improve system performance, standardize configurations, and support enterprise security initiatives.
Require Experience
Must have a valid certification with Lenel and/or Genetec.
Must have 5+ years of professional experience programming, administering, and supporting enterprise Lenel and/or Genetec systems.
Experience administering and troubleshooting enterprise physical security systems, including cameras, access control panels, and integrated security devices, with the ability to collaborate with field technicians and vendors on hardware-related issues.
Understanding of network architecture and information security concepts, including LAN/WAN environments, IP addressing, DHCP, MAC addresses, VPNs, firewalls, Active Directory/domains, and collaboration with network teams.
Strong project management, documentation, and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliverables.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with global teams, vendors, installers, and technology partners.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree and 5+ Years of progressive experience or
Associates Degree and 8+ Years of progressive experience or
HS Diploma or Equivalent and 10+ Years of progressive experience
Requires system administrator experience in performing triage on system problems, resolving the system problems, analyzing system data to prevent problems, implementing new workstations, and system extensions.
Requires 2 + years of experience programming/administrating Physical Access Control Systems.
Demonstrated previous experience effectively managing small teams.
Demonstrated understanding of Windows patching and vulnerability remediation.
Demonstrated advanced knowledge of Windows active directory hierarchy and implementation.
Basic knowledge of large-scale networking, VLANS and routing.
Requires reliable attendance at customer site during work hours required by customer.
Requires the ability to work flexible shifts that include nights, weekends, holidays and on call as needed.
Requires minimum of Security + Certification, CASP, or CISSP certification.
Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams.
Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint.
Travel:
