Position Overview : We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Cloud and Data Center Engineer to design, implement, monitor, and optimize our cloud platforms and data center infrastructure. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the high availability, robust security, scalability, and operational efficiency of our enterprise IT services.
Responsibilities :
Infrastructure Management: Administer, monitor, and optimize hybrid cloud environments and on-premise data center infrastructure to ensure enterprise services remain highly available and secure.
Cost Optimization & TCO Management: Proactively identify and implement cloud and data center cost-saving initiatives (rightsizing, resource consolidation, and utilization improvements) without compromising performance or security.
Financial & Budgetary Oversight: Analyze infrastructure spending trends, manage cloud consumption, and support corporate budget planning through detailed cost reporting and optimization dashboards.
Lifecycle & Asset Management: Support the lifecycle management of infrastructure assets to maximize technology investment value and reduce total cost of ownership (TCO).
Innovation & Evaluation: Keep abreast of emerging technologies and infrastructure solutions to continually improve operational efficiency and modernize existing systems.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer, Data Center Engineer, System Administrator, or in a similar infrastructure-focused role.
Strong hands-on experience with major Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and Hybrid Cloud architectures.
Strong ability to analyze cloud billing, track infrastructure consumption metrics, and build data-driven cost optimization strategies.
Deep understanding of on-premise data center infrastructure, virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), storage systems, and backup solutions.
Familiarity with infrastructure automation/orchestration tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and disaster recovery (DR) frameworks.
