About This Role
Job Description
As part of Ramboll’s Data Center & Facilities (DCF) Buildings team, you will help deliver resilient, high‑performance mechanical systems for some of the most technically demanding and mission‑critical projects in the region.
What You’ll Do
Lead the design and specification of mechanical systems for data centres and building projects, including Air‑Conditioning, Mechanical Ventilation, and Fire Protection systems
Prepare high‑quality design calculations, technical documentation, and drawing submissions in compliance with local authority requirements
Participate in client, consultant, and technical meetings, contributing practical and innovative engineering solutions
Provide project management support and construction supervision to ensure designs are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards
Review and assess contractors’ technical submissions, including equipment, materials, and shop drawings
Conduct site inspections to verify installation quality and compliance with design intent
Witness and support testing and commissioning activities, ensuring systems perform as designed
Collaborate closely with clients, project teams, and fellow consultants to coordinate and refine project design requirements
Take on additional responsibilities as required, contributing to the overall success of project delivery
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, recognised by the Board of Engineers, Malaysia
Eligibility to work in Malaysia
5+ years of relevant experience within M&E consultancy environments
Solid understanding of local codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
Proficiency in industry‑standard engineering tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and energy modelling software
Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
A positive, proactive work attitude with strong collaboration skills
Comfortable working independently as well as within multidisciplinary teams
Passion for transforming design concepts into high‑quality, real‑world installations
Enjoys hands‑on site involvement, including testing and commissioning activities
Data Centre project experience will be a strong advantage
Candidates with extensive experience, advanced technical expertise, or additional qualifications such as Professional Engineer with Practising Certificate (PEPC) may be considered for a more senior role
