Vice President of Enterprise Sales - Data Center
Application completed on Securis
About This Role
Position Summary
Securis is seeking a Vice President of Enterprise Sales (Data Centers) to build and lead our data center business, beginning in Northern Virginia. This is a hands-on business development role for someone who understands the data center ecosystem, knows how to identify the decision-makers who own and control IT infrastructure, and can turn industry relationships into revenue-generating opportunities. Our primary focus is securing data center decommissioning, infrastructure refresh, and IT asset recovery projects.
This is an opportunity to build a new business segment from the ground up, rather than step into an established sales territory. You will develop the strategy, build relationships, close deals, and collaborate with leadership to identify the operational capabilities Securis needs to become a trusted partner in the data center market.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy: Develop and execute a business development strategy to secure data center decommissioning, infrastructure refresh, and IT asset recovery projects.
Sales: Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and identifying opportunities through project scoping, proposals, negotiations, and closing deals.
Relationships: Leverage and expand an established DMV network of data center operators, hyperscalers, colocation providers, equipment owners, and industry decision-makers.
Pipeline: Build and manage a qualified sales pipeline, establishing measurable revenue goals and tracking performance.
Networking: Increase Securis' visibility through active participation in data center industry organizations, events, and strategic partnerships.
Collaboration: Partner with existing Account Executives to expand data center opportunities within Securis' current enterprise accounts.
Operations: Work with Operations, Finance, and leadership to evaluate project requirements, profitability, and execution capabilities.
Innovation: Identify service gaps and recommend new capabilities, partnerships, or investments needed to compete in the data center market.
Leadership: Help establish scalable sales processes and build and lead a dedicated team as the business grows.
Qualifications & Experience
Required Qualifications
DMV Presence: Must be based in Northern Virginia, Maryland, or Washington, D.C., with an established professional network in the local data center industry.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the data center ecosystem, including operators, tenants, equipment ownership, decision-makers, and infrastructure.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with enterprise servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and data center hardware lifecycles.
Sales Experience: Demonstrated success developing business, managing complex sales opportunities, negotiating agreements, and generating revenue.
Entrepreneurial Mindset: Ability to think strategically, work independently, and take a hands-on approach to building a new business segment.
Communication: Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Core Values: Commitment to Securis' Core Values and a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and service.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience selling directly to hyperscalers, colocation providers, data center operators, or enterprise infrastructure organizations.
Knowledge of data center decommissioning, hardware refresh cycles, equipment resale values, and IT asset recovery.
Experience in IT Asset Disposition (ITAD), electronics recycling, or IT infrastructure lifecycle management.
Understanding of AI infrastructure and its impact on data center hardware transitions.
Experience successfully launching a new market, sales territory, or business line.
Prior ITAD experience is not required. We welcome candidates with strong data center industry knowledge, established relationships, and proven business development capabilities who are eager to help build this business from the ground up.
Work Environment
This is a field-based role requiring residency in the DMV region, with flexibility to work remotely while actively developing client relationships and pursuing business opportunities. Regular office attendance is not required; however, occasional in-person collaboration at our Chantilly headquarters is expected for strategic planning, operational coordination, and key business initiatives.
Compensation & Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on Securis' continued growth.
Competitive base salary plus commission structure
Health, dental, vision, and life insurance
401(k) retirement plan
8 paid holidays and paid time off (PTO)
Flexibility and autonomy to manage your schedule and client relationships
Opportunity to build and lead a new business segment
Collaborative leadership and a mission-driven, values-based culture
