Data Center Responder Security Officer 

Part time

DAYS: Thursday Friday and Saturday OR Friday and Saturday 

Time: 7:00am to 3:00pm 

            3:00pm to 11:00pm

 Location Vineland, NJ 

Pay Rate: $27.50 

(Work experience in the security industry, public service (police, fire) or

military is desired.)

Responders:

Responding to alerts, alarms, breaches

Escorts visitors on site who don't have access

Access Control

Covers breaks

Constantly walking and moving around checkpoints and Data Halls

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS With or without reasonable

include: • Maintaining composure in dealing with authorities, executives,

clients, staff, and the public, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in

pressure situations.

• May be exposed to stressful situations, such as challenging individuals who

are in or approaching an unauthorized area. • May be required to work overtime

without advance notice. • Frequent sitting, standing, and walking, which may be

required for long periods of time. • Walking, reaching with hands and arms,

stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling. • Ability to carry up to 2.5-pound

device during the entire shift. • Depending on assignment may be exposed to

inclement weather or be required to work in environments or under conditions

that require the use of protective gear and devices and/or awareness of personal

safety and safety of others. • Required ability to manage multiple tasks

concurrently. • Handling and being exposed to sensitive and confidential

information. • Regular talking and hearing. • Frequent lifting and/or moving up

to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Evaluates and escalates potential safety issues within

the facility. 2. Identifies security shortfalls and offers suggestions from

improving the security program. 3. Read and apply the Screening Standard

Operating Procedures. 4. Monitor traffic flow through screening checkpoint(s).

5. Require datacenter personnel to utilize metal detection and/or hand-held

metal detector for entrance to and exit of secure areas. 6. Perform hand-held

metal detector searches and walk through metal detection searches. 7. Evaluates

and escalates potential safety issues within the facility. 8. Required to know

and follow safe work practices, and to be aware of company policies and

procedures related to job safety, including safety rules and regulations. Notify

supervisor upon becoming aware of unsafe working conditions.

Position Requirements:

* 18 years of age or older. 

* High School Diploma or GED Required. 

* Standard computer / technology skills needed.

* Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional

manner.

* Must be able to conduct patrols throughout shift. 

* Must have great attention to detail and have the ability to remain vigilant

throughout shift. 

* Previous security experience highly preferred.

* Active NJ SORA license or the ability to obtain one

* Valid driver's license with a clean driving history.
