You will run the schedule on network cabling installations for hyperscale data centers, some of the largest and most technically demanding construction projects LINX takes on. If you know Primavera P6 well enough to build a critical path from scratch, defend it to a general contractor, and keep it accurate as conditions change daily on a live jobsite, this is a scheduling role with real technical teeth, not a data entry position with a P6 license attached.
Pay: $90,000 to $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
Where This Role Fits at LINX
This position is not a step on LINX's field trade ladder (Technician through Superintendent). It is a project controls specialist role that works directly alongside Project Managers, Superintendents, and General Contractor scheduling teams on hyperscale data center builds. You report into the project controls function and are the person of record on schedule health for every project you're assigned to.
What You'll Be Doing
Schedule Development and Critical Path Management
* Build and maintain full project schedules in Primavera P6 for network cabling installation scope on hyperscale data center projects
* Create tasks, milestones, and budgets within each project schedule
* Identify predecessor and dependent activities across the schedule
* Build and maintain the critical path for every active project, and flag when scope changes threaten it
General Contractor Integration and Schedule Deconfliction
* Integrate LINX's schedule with the General Contractor's master schedule
* Identify and resolve schedule conflicts between LINX's scope and other trades before they become field problems
* Represent LINX's schedule position in coordination meetings with GC scheduling staff
Progress Tracking and Manpower Coordination
* Track and update project progress, including hours worked against scheduled tasks
* Assist Project Managers and Superintendents in scheduling manpower for cabling installation crews
* Monitor performance against baseline and identify emerging delays before they hit the critical path
Reporting and Stakeholder Communication
* Report on project performance and schedule risk, with specific corrective action recommendations, not just status updates
* Communicate schedule status and changes directly to Project Managers, Superintendents, and other stakeholders
* Maintain compliance with project requirements and industry scheduling standards for network cabling installations
Training and Process Standardization
* Train and supervise other team members on Primavera P6 use and LINX scheduling standards
* Standardize scheduling practices across projects so schedule data is consistent and comparable project to project
Minimum Requirements
Required
* 3 to 5 years of Primavera P6 scheduling experience in a commercial construction environment
* Oracle Primavera P6 certification
* Demonstrated ability to build, maintain, and defend a critical path on an active construction project
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, including direct communication with General Contractor scheduling staff
* Ability to train and supervise other team members on scheduling tasks
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred, Not Required
* 1+ year scheduling hyperscale data center construction
* 1+ year scheduling MEP scope
* Working knowledge of fiber & copper network cabling infrastructure
* Degree in project management, engineering or a related field
Compensation and Benefits
Pay Rate: $100,000 to $150,000 per year, depending on experience

* 401(k) with 50% employer match on the first 5% contributed

About LINX
Founded in 2003 by working industry practitioners, LINX has grown from a single Denver office into a national commercial low voltage contractor, with active markets across the country, including Seattle, Salt Lake City, San Antonio, Atlanta, Cheyenne, Des Moines, Dallas/Fort Worth, Northern Virginia, Cedar Rapids, Montgomery, and Columbus.
Our Data Center division installs network cabling infrastructure for hyperscale data center construction, projects where schedule accuracy is not a formality. A missed critical path activity on a hyperscale build can cascade into six figure delay costs across the entire GC schedule. As AI driven demand accelerates hyperscale data center construction nationally, LINX's project controls team is growing right alongside it, and this role sits at the center of that growth.
