fast growing. We're searching for applications engineer who have the passion and

excitement to grow, innovative, take an active role in product definition,

execute the characterization until ramp, and provide post ramp application

support to customers.

The 48 V system DC/DC Application Engineer is an outstanding opportunity to

allow technically minded engineers to broaden their system engineering skills

and application knowledge, while partnering closely with our local sales

organization, focusing on Data Center end equipment supports customers in

designing, validating, optimizing, troubleshooting quality and applications

related issues on power solutions for high-performance server and infrastructure

applications. This role requires strong technical depth in power conversion and

system-level integration, along with a high level of on-site customer engagement

to accelerate design cycles, resolve issues in real time, and strengthen

customer adoption of TI solutions.

Responsibilities Include

* Support hyperscale and enterprise customers in 48V-xV data center designs,

validation, and optimization of 48V DC/DC solutions used in server, storage,

networking, and related end equipment.

* Support total solution bring-up, debugging, characterization, and customer

qualifications with TI products.

* Collaborate with IC design, magnetics, thermal, and firmware for total system

solutions.

* Develop and review reference designs, test results, technical collateral, and

application guidance

* Translate customer feedback into actionable input for internal product and

engineering teams

* Develop power system specifications, requirements, validation plans,

reference designs, lab data, application notes, testing guidance, and

technical collateral relevant to Data Center power applications.

* Perform modeling and simulation using tools such as SIMPLIS, SPICE, MATLAB,

or equivalent.

* Analyze system performance including system control stability, efficiency,

transient response, EMI, thermal behavior, and fault protection.

* Contribute to demos, simulations, validation work, and technical

presentations as needed

* Support the sales team by providing the training course, technical guidance,

joining customer discussions, helping position TI solutions against

application requirements, and contributing to design-in success at key

accounts.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum requirements

* M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or 5 + years hands‑on experience in

48V-xV data center power supply designs.

* Strong background in power electronics and power conversion architectures.

* Proficiency with system modeling using LTspice, Simplis, PLECS and hardware

design tools like Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro.

* Experienced with power analyzers, high‑bandwidth oscilloscopes, thermal

imaging cameras, Bode analyzers, power supplies, e-loads and ancillary

equipment

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities. 

Written and verbal communication skills in English/Mandarin; ability to

produce clear bilingual (English/Mandarin) technical documents and to present

to global customers, internal stakeholders, and at international conferences.

Preferred qualifications:

* Experience with multiphase buck, switched-capacitor converters and LLC.

* Knowledge of 48V power distribution architectures for data‑centers

(rack‑level PDUs, intra‑rack DC‑DC, UPS‑to‑DC interfaces).

* Familiarity with AI server, GPU, telecom, or data center power architectures.

* Experience with GaN devices, Si power MOSFETs, and advanced packaging

technologies.

* Experience working directly with hyperscale customers on customer design

debug, system bring-up, and issue resolution.

* Track record of strong ownership, collaboration, and execution.

* Publication, patent, or conference paper on GaN based power converter design.
