Job Description
Turner & Townsend is a leading management consultancy in the Data Centre sector. Drawing on our expertise, processes, and industry knowledge, we deliver market-leading services to our clients. Our extensive experience and market intelligence enable us to provide proactive, value-added solutions across all areas of the sector, supporting global technology clients.
Key Responsibilities
Support feasibility studies and procurement reports.
Prepare cost estimates and cost plans, including the presentation of final cost plans.
Manage tendering and procurement activities, including pre-qualification processes, tender analysis, and reporting.
Manage post-contract cost variations and change control processes.
Conduct cost checks and valuations, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Produce and present monthly post-contract cost reports.
Contribute to value engineering and cost optimisation initiatives.
Negotiate and agree final accounts.
Collaborate with clients, consultants, and other project stakeholders throughout all project stages.
Lead cost management teams, promoting accountability and high-quality service delivery.
Identify opportunities to strengthen existing client relationships and support business growth.
Assist in the preparation of bid documentation.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of cost management procedures, templates, and service offerings.
Ensure key project information and lessons learned are captured within internal knowledge management systems.
Monitor financial performance using FMS.
Identify and escalate opportunities for process improvement.
Review commission management quality and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Degree or equivalent in Cost Management / Quantity Surveying
Chartered with the RICS, or equivalent
Strong measurement and cost planning expertise (NRM2)
JCT / NEC / FIDIC experience
Commercially astute with good negotiation skills
Excellent people person and great communicator, both internal and external
