UGL is seeking a Site Engineer – Fire Systems to support the delivery of a major data centre project in Melbourne.
Working within UGL's integrated delivery model alongside CPB Contractors, you'll take ownership of fire systems subcontractor management, ensuring safe, compliant and high-quality delivery of fire services from installation through to testing, commissioning and handover. This is an opportunity to work on technically complex, mission-critical projects while accessing the global expertise of ACS Group, HOCHTIEF, Turner and Leighton Asia.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate the fire services subcontractor across all phases of construction.
Monitor safety, quality, programme and productivity outcomes.
Coordinate fire systems installation with structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical disciplines.
Review and resolve design, constructability and interface issues.
Support inspections, compliance requirements, testing, commissioning and project reporting.
Build strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants and project stakeholders.
Ensure works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, codes and data centre performance requirements.
About You
Relevant tertiary qualifications.
Experience delivering fire protection systems on major building or infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of wet fire, dry fire and fire detection systems.
Data centre experience highly regarded.
Alternatively, experience on complex projects such as hospitals, defence, airports, laboratories or large commercial developments.
Proven subcontractor management and stakeholder coordination skills.
Familiarity with testing, commissioning and compliance processes.
