About This Role
POSITION SUMMARY
The Product Manager Data Center Infrastructure will contribute to defining Data
Center Infrastructure Solutions product and solutions roadmap by consolidating
Voice of Customer data to define market solutions primarily oriented, but not
limited, to data center industry. You will collaborate with cross-functional
teams to ensure offering meets market needs and will be responsible for defining
product and solution requirements. You will also identify value proposition and
act as the Subject Matter Expert for Datacenter Infrastructure Solutions for the
executive, marketing, and sales teams. The Infrastructure Solutions product line
at Vertiv handles complex products or solutions mostly related to manufactured
units which consist of Uninterruptible power, power distribution, cooling and
white space infrastructure.
* Analyze Voice of Customer and provide intelligent and effective ideas,
* Analyze cost and propose improvements
* Analyze competitor products, documenting strengths, and deficiencies in core
* Define, develop, and administer customers facing product evaluation programs.
* Engage with Services team to define and implement Power Solutions service
* Gather information and analyze new trends and technology
* Gather and consolidate market intelligence by interfacing with Sales team and
* Collaborate with cross functional teams to implement new technology in
Infrastructure Solutions offering.
* Perform and maintain patent reviews for new offerings. Document data and
provide details while interfacing with legal team.
* Create and maintain Product Documentation including user brochures,
presentations, manuals, and technical documentation. Provide support to
regionalize documents as needed.
* Work with Product Marketing team on creation of White Papers, Application
Notes, Case Studies, and Articles, Videos.
* Work with Product Marketing team on product launch preparation and product
* Support Solution architects and Application engineers with solution proposals
* Provide on-site critical customer consultations when required.
* Interface with other Vertiv products and engineering teams to coordinate
integration with other hardware and/or software solutions.
* Bachelor’s or higher Degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering
* 5+ years relevant industry experience.
* Experience in Data center design, build, commissioning or maintenance
* Technical expertise to translate customer needs/pain points to solutions
* Strong written/oral communication, especially in communicating customer needs
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Smartsheet, and other business
* Informative knowledge about CAD, BIM and CFD tools.
* Research and analytical skills
* Propensity for innovation
* Effectively communicates technical information and complex ideas to
technically diverse audiences.
