About This Role

Description

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager in the Land Development Division to support our growing Data Center group. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.

This position requires Land Development, Real Estate Development and/or Construction specific experience. This position is not for Technical Infrastructure, IT, or Data Network Professionals.

Requirements

Manages Land Development Data Center civil engineering project efficiently (meets schedules and budgets)

Consults with client to determine project requirements

Analyzes reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design project

Visits project site to ascertain existing conditions

Calculates cost and determines feasibility of projects based on analysis of collected data

Prepares, conducts or directs preparation of reports, design, specifications, plans and construction administration

Conducts periodic on-site observations of work during construction to monitor progress and ensure conformance to engineering plans and specifications

Prepares calculations, specifications, construction documents, and inspection reports for projects as assigned using discipline-specific software

Supports and communicates with team members throughout all stages of design, production, approval and construction processes

Required Skills and Abilities:

Ability to read, analyze and interpret

Ability to write effective reports and correspondence

Construction document and 3D production ability

Possesses a firm understanding of engineering design for all aspects of site development along with current knowledge of industry trends, technology, codes and regulations

Embraces teamwork approach and possesses strong communication skills

Must possess strong technical skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, AutoCAD and other discipline specific software

Education and Experience:

Minimum of eight (8) years of total experience, with four (4) as a Project Manager (or equivalent).

Graduate from an accredited university or college with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Experience or degrees in other disciplines may be substituted at Management's discretion).

This position requires travel to project sites and other Westwood offices throughout the United States
