About This Role
Zenlayer is expanding its edge cloud and global interconnection footprint across the Americas. The Project Manager, Data Center Fitting-Out, will lead end-to-end delivery of Zenlayer’s new Points of Presence (PoPs), small to mid-size data hall build-outs, and infrastructure upgrades across partner and colocation facilities.
This role oversees planning, design coordination, procurement support, construction and installation activities, equipment deployment, testing, and final handover. The PM ensures each site meets Zenlayer’s technical, operational, and reliability standards while delivering projects on time, within budget, and at the highest quality.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead full lifecycle management of data center fitting-out and PoP build projects across the Americas.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Telecommunications, or related field.
5–10 years of project management experience in, Data center fitting-out / build-out, PoP builds, network infrastructure deployment, Telecom, colocation, or mission-critical environments
Experience delivering multiple concurrent projects across the Americas strongly preferred.
Knowledge of MEP interfaces in data center environments.
Strong understanding of structured cabling, fiber systems, rack deployment, and power distribution.
Familiarity with commissioning, ICT integration, and reliability standards.
Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, Jira, Asana).
Ability to read engineering drawings, floor plans, and technical specifications.
Strong communication skills across distributed global teams.
Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional coordination abilities.
Able to manage multiple sites and priorities simultaneously.
Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
Willingness to travel 30–50% within the Americas for site visits, inspections, logistics checks, and vendor meetings.
