Sr. TIPM, AMER Datacenter Capacity Delivery, AMER DCCD Principal Team
Salary
$149k–$201k/ annually
Application completed on Amazon
About This Role
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Technical Infrastructure Program Manager
(TIPM) to join the Principal team within the Data Center Capacity Delivery
(DCCD) organization. This role sits at the intersection of program management
and technology, driving the automation of core processes, applying AI technology
to inspect and evaluate construction projects, and leading the rollout of new
initiatives across the organization.
In this role, you will own the mechanisms that make the Principal team scale —
identifying manual, repetitive, and error-prone workflows and re-engineering
them into automated, reliable processes. You will champion the adoption of
AI-powered tools to inspect projects, surface risks earlier, and raise the bar
on quality and consistency across the portfolio. And you will serve as the
connective tissue for new initiatives, translating strategy into actionable
rollout plans that land with both leadership and the teams executing on the
ground.
You will work directly with DCCD's senior leadership and cross-functional
partners to define what we build, how we measure impact, and how we scale what
works. You won't just document the program — you'll shape it, bringing a bias
for action and a builder's mindset to everything from tooling decisions to
change management.
Key job responsibilities
- Identify, design, and drive the automation of manual and repetitive processes
across the Principal team, reducing cycle time and eliminating sources of error.
- Lead the evaluation, piloting, and rollout of AI technology to inspect
construction projects — improving the speed, accuracy, and consistency of
project reviews.
- Own the end-to-end rollout of new initiatives: build the plan, align
stakeholders, define success metrics, and drive adoption to completion.
- Translate operational complexity into clear, defensible program plans and
reviews that land with executive audiences.
- Partner with DCC's senior leadership team to define priorities, measure
progress, and communicate outcomes to the broader AWS organization.
- Establish mechanisms and metrics to measure the impact of automation and AI
initiatives, and iterate based on results.
About the team
The Principal team is a central team of technical experts spanning construction,
commissioning, and controls, chartered to tackle the most important and complex
challenges across the business. We bring deep subject-matter expertise to the
problems that don't fit a standard playbook — supporting unique business
challenges and first-of-kind designs and products. Whether it's de-risking a
novel design, standing up a new commissioning approach, or solving the issues
that cut across teams and regions, the Principal team is the group the business
turns to when the stakes are highest and the path forward is unproven. Basic
Qualifications: - 5+ years of program management or technical project management
experience
- 2+ years using AI to create process improvements with automation and data
audits
- 5+ years of data center program/project management and technical experience
associated with Construction, Commissioning and Controls dependencies.
- Experience managing multiple complex projects, in different design and project
stages, and adapting to change Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or
equivalent in a related technical field
- Experience working with large, complex data sets
- Proven ability to lead multiple complex projects through ambiguity and change,
prioritize strategically, and deliver measurable results at scale
- Experience establishing credibility quickly with senior level executives
across organizations
