ABOUT THE JOB:
Technical Infrastructure (TI) is the backbone of Google - the global data
centers, networks and integrated hardware and software that power both Google
customer products and services, including Google Cloud, and our internal
operations. Google builds and operates one of the largest state-of-the-art
private data center fleets in the world. It is a complex technical area with
very large operating and capital budgets growing year over year.
The TI Finance mission is to partner cross-functionally to drive optimal
decision-making, provide insights for strategic and tactical decisions, and bend
the cost curve down to provide Google with a competitive advantage.
In this position, you will lead the finance team partnering with Data Center
Construction, responsible for the end-to-end capital deployment and delivery of
Google's global data center builds (civil, structural, architectural,
electrical, and mechanical integration). You will play a key role in shaping
commercial contracting strategies, optimizing multi-billion-dollar project
budgets, and ensuring financial discipline as Google expands its infrastructure
footprint.
As a Senior Finance Manager for Data Center Construction, you will move beyond
traditional cost accounting to act as the primary strategic business partner for
Alphabet’s multi-billion-dollar data center construction portfolio. Leading the
team dedicated to global capacity delivery, you will direct financial governance
over multi-billion dollar capital deployment, and evaluate commercial
construction strategy to optimize return on investment.
This role demands a blend of large-scale infrastructure capital management,
construction commercial acumen, and executive-level leadership. You will
advocate financial governance across project life-cycles, guide cash flow
optimization for long-cycle build schedules, and deliver executive-level
insights to TI leadership.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills,
experience, and relevant education or training.

* Lead and mentor a high-performing team of finance professionals (including
direct management and coaching of construction Financial Planning and
Analysis (FP&A) analysts and managers).
* Partner with Construction and Engineering leadership to establish rigorous
capital expenditure governance, tracking budgets, commitments, contingencies,
and cash-flow milestones for active and planned builds.
* Drive financial evaluation and risk analysis for general contracting
strategies, commercial delivery models (e.g., Engineering, Procurement, and
Construction (EPC), Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP), Design-Build,
Build-to-Suit (BTS)), and change order governance.
* Lead cross-functional initiatives to optimize unit costs (e.g., $/MW) and
implement benchmarking frameworks across global project sites.
