Data Center Technician – Trainee Program

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is expanding rapidly, and we are looking for
Data Center Technicians to join our Infrastructure Operations team through our
Trainee Program. This structured 12 week onboarding and development program is
designed to accelerate the growth of early-career technicians by combining
hands-on operational experience, technical training, mentorship, and career
development. The trainee program involves 2 weeks of classroom-based training
plus 10 weeks of on-the-job training at our data centres. This is a paid 12 week
trainee program and successful candidates will be considered for full time
permanent opportunities at the conclusion of the program.

Minimum Requirements
* Minimum Education: Completion of High School (HSC)
* Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
* Must be an Australian citizen for security clearance purposes
Essential Capabilities and Requirements
* Basic understanding of computer hardware and technology concepts.
* Basic understanding of mathematical and computational concepts.
* Interest in technology and a desire to build a career in data center
operations.
* Ability to learn technical concepts and follow documented procedures with
precision.
* Ability to lift up to 20 kg, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as
required.
* Ability to work non-standard hours, including weekends, night shifts, public
holidays, and rotating shift schedules as required.
* Access to own transportation for travel to data centres.
