About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Customer Technical Lead to join our Cloud & Service Provider (C&SP) team within Schneider Electric's Digital Power business.
This is a highly visible customer-facing role, responsible for partnering with sales teams, consultants, and customers to design and develop winning data centre solutions across power, cooling, monitoring, and digital infrastructure. You will leverage your technical expertise and commercial acumen to influence key stakeholders, shape customer requirements, and ensure Schneider Electric delivers innovative, compliant, and commercially successful solutions.
Working across both new-build and operational data centre environments, you'll play a critical role in helping customers solve complex challenges while positioning Schneider Electric as the partner of choice.
Key Responsibilities
You will combine technical leadership, customer engagement, and commercial expertise to develop optimised solutions that create value for customers and drive business growth.
Lead the design, optimisation, and technical development of data centre power, cooling, monitoring, DCIM, and electrical infrastructure solutions
Partner with sales teams, customers, consultants, and key decision-makers to influence specifications, standardisation, and solution adoption through targeted presales and prescription activities
Develop accurate cost models, proposals, BOMs, and technical submissions, ensuring solutions are commercially viable and aligned to customer requirements
Manage opportunities through the Schneider Electric Customer Project Process, balancing customer outcomes, risk management, profitability, and governance requirements
Act as the technical bridge between customers, sales, tendering, and delivery teams, ensuring seamless solution development and handover
Drive innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to industry thought leadership
About You
You are a commercially minded technical leader with deep data centre expertise and a passion for developing innovative customer solutions.
Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years' experience in Application Engineering, Solution Architecture, or a similar technical role within the data centre industry
Strong expertise in data centre electrical infrastructure, power distribution, cooling systems, monitoring platforms, and DCIM solutions
Proven experience preparing solution designs, costings, proposals, and technical specifications for complex customer opportunities
Demonstrated success influencing customers, consultants, and stakeholders through presales, specification, and technical advisory activities
Strong commercial understanding, including Capex, Opex, ROI, risk assessment, and solution profitability
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to engage confidently from technical teams through to senior customer leadership
