Principal Data Center Facilities Development Manager
Application completed on Oracle
About This Role
Imagine guiding a data-center from site selection through to production go-live,
delivering the compute and GPU power that fuels Oracle’s cloud services. In this
role you’ll own the integrated delivery path, coordinating internal engineering,
colocation partners, utilities, contractors and technology vendors to move a
site through due-diligence, design, construction, commissioning, floor-space
fit-out, network deployment and server readiness.
Your deep technical fluency in critical electrical infrastructure, low-voltage
systems, structured cabling and networking will ensure each facility becomes a
reliable, high-performance environment for our customers. You’ll shape the
end-to-end process, driving operational handover and ongoing success.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead the full lifecycle of hyperscale data-center projects, from site
selection and due‑diligence through construction, commissioning and
production hand‑over.
* Partner with colocation providers, utilities, contractors and technology
partners to align design, schedule and budget, delivering on‑time, on‑spec
capacity.
* Drive the implementation of critical electrical infrastructure, low‑voltage
distribution and structured cabling systems to meet performance and
reliability targets.
* Oversee network deployment and floor‑space fit‑out, ensuring seamless
integration of compute and GPU resources.
* Coordinate server readiness activities and operational hand‑over, enabling
customers to launch workloads without disruption.
* Develop and maintain integrated delivery roadmaps, risk registers and
performance metrics to continuously improve program outcomes.
* Influence cross‑functional teams to adopt best practices in data‑center
construction, commissioning and operational excellence.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Proven experience managing end‑to‑end hyperscale data‑center capacity
delivery programs, including site selection, construction and production
go‑live.
* Strong technical knowledge of critical electrical infrastructure, low‑voltage
power distribution, structured cabling and networking dependencies in
data‑center environments.
* Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders such as internal
engineering teams, colocation partners, utilities and contractors to achieve
project milestones.
* Excellent program management skills, including schedule, budget and risk
management for large‑scale infrastructure projects.
* Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer
engineering or a related technical field.
* Preferred: Experience with GPU‑focused compute deployments in hyperscale
data‑centers.
* Preferred: Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services and
data‑center operational models.
